With the help Simmons and Pollard and many other Mumbai got to 187 for 6. Chennai did really well containing Mumbai to 187 because at one stage it looked like Mumbai would get 200, 210 and even 220. IPL- Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders

Hey Guys,

Yesterday was one of the most anticipated mathces of the whole of the IPL 2015.

Chennai vs Kolkata was finally here and with a fantastic and experienced bowling attack, Kolkata chose to field first. The bowling attack delivered and took wickets on a regular basis and made CSK finish there innings on only 134. On a batsman dominated format 134 was a very low score. Andere Russel and Piyush Chawla both picked up 2 wickets and gave away 26 runs in there 4 overs spell. Brad Hogg made his IPL debut and had fantastic bowling statistics with 1 wicket and only gave away 18 runs in his 4 overs.

KKR’s innings started with a bang and they had a fantastic start but when the spinners came in they slowed the run rate down to only 2 runs per over. Ravi Ashwin had an economy of 2.50 and only gave away 5 runs with 2 wickets in his 2 overs. As a result of the run rate slowing down KKR needed 17 runs in the last over. The first 3 balls were slow ones and the batsman did not know how to play them. The 4th and 5th ball went for a 6 and a 4 and KKR needed 7 of the last ball. The match could have gone in super over but the last ball went for 4 and KKR lost by 2 runs.

Man of the match went to Dwayne Bravo as he took 3 wickets and an fantastic game of cricket came to the end. Keep watching the IPL for some more fantastic games of cricket.

Peace Out,

Flamingo and IPL

Hi Guys,

As you all will know the IPL (Indian Premier League) is going on. You all will probably be watching the IPL and you probably saw how Dehli Daredevils were decimated and were bowled out for only 95 runs. RCB won the match by 10 wickets with ease.

RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) won the toss and chose to field first. With Mitchell Starc as there lethal bowler there bowling attack was fairly inexperienced. Starc picked up 3 wickets for only 20 runs in a batsman dominated format (T20) with an economy of 5. With help from Varun Aaron who took 2 wicket and Wiese who also picked up 2 wickets Dehli was bowled out for only 95. Highest scorer in Dehli’s inning was only 33 which was made by KM Jadhav.

Now, moving on to the RCB innings. Had a fantastic start by Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli. Both of them went not out with Gayle making 62 and Kohli 33. In the end RCB won the match by 10 wickets with ease. Man of the match went to Varun Aaron.

Now, my own successes thant have happened over the past week or so. In The Netherlands there is an indoor tournament called the Flamingo Tournament. We had a nail-biting final with VCC (Voorburg Cricket Club) and we won by a very small margin but now we don’t care because we are the champions second time in a row.

Peace Out,

IPL and My Success

Hello Cricket Fans,

All of the cricket fans will know the IPL (Indian Premier League) is going on and I am personally supporting CSK (Chennai Super Kings). They have a strong squad with consistent players performing time and time again and think that they will win the IPL not because I am their fan but from a tactical point of view.

Moving on from my favourite team to the matches that happened yesterday (15/04/15). The match that was played yesterday was between Kings XI Punjab and Dehli Daredevils. The Daredevils won the match by 5 wickets and it looked like 165 was not enough on the board. The wicket was a batsman paradise and I think that more should have been put on the board by the Kings XI Punjab.

Now about my success lately in my cricket career. I live in The Netherlands so there is less cricket here than places like England but that didn’t stop me. I play for the Dutch National Youth Team and will be going to England to play against various teams and representing the Dutch.

Leave in the comments below what your favourite moment of the IPL has been until now.

Peace Out,
